Overview
Enroute Foundation is a Bangladesh-based organization that addresses challenges against social development, takes effective initiatives to eradicate them, and is dedicated to transforming the nation’s underprivileged communities by focusing on the socioeconomic landscape. We follow a systematic approach led by social research to enhance the capacity of socio-economically challenged communities, and the resilience of climate-vulnerable people by delivering relief during disasters and providing health care and nutritional support.
Inspiration
We envision a society that stands strong amidst adversity and becomes sustainably empowered. We care about the adverse effects of climate change and socioeconomic imbalance, which directly affect our lives and future generations. We aim to empower underprivileged communities that require holistic structural support, including health, education, accommodation, safety, and economic solvency. The idea of the futuristic resilience capacity and long-term development of vulnerable groups inspires our efforts.
Our Projects
We have successfully pulled off several tree plantation campaigns, aiming to reduce the impact of global warming and restore green resources in urban places. Participants have enthusiastically volunteered by planting saplings in designated areas. Not limited to this event, we plan to expand the tree plantation campaign nationwide. Soon we are launching a cleaning project focusing on lessening plastic pollution around us. We aim to raise awareness of keeping our locality clean of plastic waste by educating people about the effects of plastic pollution on our ecosystem.

Challenges We Address
Capacity Development
By transforming individuals of lower income tiers into self-reliant, resilient small business entrepreneurs, Enroute Foundation aims to lead development in capacity building of underprivileged communities. Through targeted workshops, we equip them with market connections and financial literacy that enable them to become trusted suppliers in local markets.
Climate Adaptation
In Bangladesh, communities in disaster-prone areas are vulnerable in many ways. Every year, people suffer from severe aftereffects of natural disasters like heatwaves, floods, and cyclones, causing crises of fresh water, food, health, and decent livelihoods. We address these issues and design project-based adaptation campaigns to ensure resilience and sustainable protection in these vulnerable communities.
Advancing Research
Every socioeconomic crisis creates new scopes for study, and such studies offer better solutions to handle crises. Enroute Foundation aims to conduct in-depth research on the changing business ecosystem, the impact of climate change on marginal classes, the scopes of education and training, and the mental health impact of technological advancement.
Health and Nutrition
In Bangladesh, urban slum dwellers and communities in natural disaster-prone areas are the worst sufferers when it comes to health and medical care, hygiene, and food nutrition due to financial insolvency, lack of knowledge, and distance from the urban. We address underserved communities and offer necessary support through campaigns.
Disaster Relief & Recovery
Considering our country’s higher susceptibility to natural disasters, Enroute Foundation has Disaster Response programs to send emergency relief and long-term support to disaster-affected areas in time. These programs also focus on food, medicine, healthcare, shelter, and livelihood restoration to help people rebuild their lives.
