At Enroute Foundation, we acknowledge that research on alternatives that lessen the worst environmental impact is a dire need for overall development in Bangladesh. Considering these matters, we have taken research initiatives to develop and refine technologies, processes, and practices that promote sustainability and support community development. We focus on innovative solutions and tailor them to the specific needs of local communities and available resources, like machinery that is easy for the local people to use and operate, availability of raw materials in the local region, market trends for the final goods, etc. We ensure that the data found from the research is conducted on real scenarios and aligns with the latest advancements, enhancing its effectiveness and relevance.
Our research covers a broad range of critical areas, from designing and improving customized machinery to reusing wastes for manufacturing sustainable products. Conducting research also includes taking into account the livelihood in rural and marginal communities. We pioneer sustainable green businesses by focusing on innovative solutions, such as converting plastic waste into eco-bricks, drying raw fish in machines, and developing biodegradable products with areca leaves. Additionally, there are natural resources in rural areas that we treat as wastes, such as areca leaves, coconut husks, and rice husks. We have researched how to manage these wastes to utilize them for producing sustainable products and the machinery required for their production. Such initiatives not only reduce waste in the environment but also promote local economic development by creating scopes for small businesses.
Any sort of research or study on economic development is far-reaching, particularly in communities across Bangladesh where people have the least scope to earn and live better. By promoting entrepreneurship and introducing green business practices, we empower local entrepreneurs to adopt sustainable methods as a livelihood that contributes to both environmental well-being and economic growth. We believe that generating new economic opportunities while minimizing waste and reusing it for productive purposes will grow into a big initiative today or tomorrow. Ultimately, our work contributes to creating a more sustainable, livable environment for future generations, ensuring that our planet remains vibrant and healthy for years to come.
