Tree Plantation Program 2025 at CEDA Innovative School

Inspiring Young Minds Through the Sobuj Bangladesh Campaign

As part of the second-year Sobuj Bangladesh Campaign, Enroute Foundation successfully organized a Tree Plantation Program 2025 at CEDA Innovative School in Ashulia, Savar, Dhaka, on 19 August 2025. The initiative brought together the Enroute Foundation team, school authorities, and students with a shared commitment to creating a greener and healthier environment.

The program aimed not only to increase green cover but also to encourage environmental awareness among young learners by involving them directly in tree plantation activities.

Planting Trees for a Sustainable Future

During the event, participants planted a variety of native fruit trees, including guava, lemon, olive, hog plum (amra), jackfruit, and several mango varieties such as Himsagar, Rupali, and Haribhanga. These carefully selected species will contribute to biodiversity, improve the school environment, and provide long-term ecological benefits.

Students also learned how trees help maintain ecological balance by improving air quality, reducing heat, supporting biodiversity, and creating healthier surroundings. The hands-on experience encouraged them to develop a deeper appreciation for nature and the importance of protecting the environment.

Learning Beyond the Classroom

The Tree Plantation Program provided students with an opportunity to experience environmental conservation through hands-on participation. By planting and caring for trees, they gained practical knowledge about the importance of protecting natural resources and preserving biodiversity.

The initiative demonstrated that environmental education extends beyond textbooks.
