Seminar on Career Talk, and Youth Employment Fair - "Empowering Youth for Better Career Paths"
The Career Talk seminar aimed to empower youth, students, and job seekers with the knowledge and tools to make informed career decisions. With the growing need for skilled professionals across various sectors, providing young people with the right career guidance is essential for shaping a brighter future. Preparing them today will enable them to face the challenges of an evolving job market.
Enroute Foundation organized the Career Talk seminar and Youth Employment Fair under the theme “Leadership Journey” in collaboration with the ILO and UNDP, and the Deputy Commissioner’s Office of Cox’s Bazar.
The events were held over two consecutive days: the Career Talk seminar on February 26 at Sayeman Beach Resort, Cox’s Bazar, and the Career Talk seminar and Youth Employment Fair on February 27 at Hotel Sea Palace, Cox’s Bazar. The initiative aimed to offer insights into government jobs, entrepreneurship in tourism, overseas employment, and opportunities in the development sector.

Day 1: Romen Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Cox’s Bazar, inaugurated the session with an energetic welcome speech that left the audience clapping the moment he stopped. Followed by the welcome speech, Md. Tariqul Haque, Chairman of Enroute Foundation, and M Navid Akbar, ILO national program manager, delivered their valuable insights to welcome the seminar. Their gracious presence inspired the participants, guests, and fellow speakers.
Following the welcome session, motivational talks, career guidance sessions, and interactive discussions were held. Experts from various sectors presented their invaluable insights to the audience, where Romen Sharma, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Cox’s Bazar, talked about “Government Job”, and Mehrin Jahan Mitu, Corporate Sales & Marketing, Ramada by Wyndham, and Waliullah Bhuiyan, Chairman, Light of Hope Ltd., shared insights on “Entrepreneurship & Potentiality in Tourism.” Later, Liton Kanti Chowdhury, Assistant Director, Bureau of Manpower, Employment and Training, talked about “Career Abroad”, where he showed the process of how to plan and pursue the dream of working abroad in a systematic way.
Day 2: The second day began with an industry introduction and a welcoming address featuring representatives from UNDP and leaders in development sectors. They delivered motivational speeches and practical career guidance. The Career Talk sessions explored a key topic, that is, opportunities in the development sector.
