Rehabilitation Initiative for Flood-Affected: Implemented by Enroute Foundation
Enroute’s prompt assessment and immediate response
A Commitment to Care and Recovery
In partnership with CCI Bangladesh, Enroute Foundation conducted a comprehensive assessment and rehabilitation initiative for CCI Bangladesh employees residing in Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Potuakhali, and Cumilla, who were affected by a devastating flood in 2024. Many flood victims became homeless, lost their livelihood, cattle, and the opportunity to live a normal life. Considering the gravity of the situation, CCI Bangladesh took the initiative to recover the losses of its employees, and it chose Enroute Foundation as the implementation partner to carry out the necessary actions to aid the employees affected by the flood.
The goal was simple but vital: to help people restore stability in their homes, their work, and their lives.
A team conducted an assessment and used that to aid support
Ground-Level Assessment and Immediate Response to Recovery
Enroute Foundation’s field teams visited affected regions of Feni, Noakhali, Lakshmipur, Potuakhali, and Cumilla to understand the real impact of the floods on employees’ lives. Each household was carefully assessed. The assessment included terms of property loss and broader impact on livelihoods such as farming, fisheries, and livestock.
This hands-on approach ensured that every recommendation for aid was grounded in actual needs.
From repairing damaged homes and replenishing lost livestock to restoring agricultural and fishery resources to support physical illness arising from post-flood conditions and providing financial aid in need, Enroute Foundation provided all these supports to help each affected family of the selected employees.
Though each employee’s situation was unique, so was the solution they received.
Being a Part of Responsibility towards Society
Building a Culture of Compassion
What this initiative truly highlights is the human side of corporate responsibility. Employees who once faced uncertainty are now regaining stability and hope, thanks to the coordinated efforts of both the company and Enroute Foundation.
The floods left behind visible damage, but they also revealed something powerful: a shared determination to stand by one another. This project is more than a story of aid. It’s a story of empathy, resilience, and collective recovery.
