Planting Native Fruit and Timber Trees
During the plantation program, participants planted a diverse selection of native fruit and timber trees to enhance biodiversity and create long-term environmental benefits. The fruit trees included hog plum (amra), olive, lemon, guava, and the high-yield Katimon mango, while teak and mahogany were planted as valuable timber species.
The carefully selected tree varieties will contribute to improving local green cover, strengthening ecological balance, and providing lasting environmental and economic value for the surrounding community.
Raising Environmental Awareness Through Community Participation
The program actively engaged madrasa teachers, students, mosque worshippers, and members of the local community, encouraging them to participate in the tree plantation activities. Alongside the plantation, Enroute Foundation conducted awareness sessions highlighting the importance of trees in maintaining ecological balance, improving air quality, conserving biodiversity, and addressing the challenges of climate change.
By involving both educational and religious institutions, the initiative demonstrated how community collaboration can play a significant role in protecting the environment and inspiring sustainable practices.
